Business Research – External Analysis of Honda: A Comprehensive Assessment of Buyer Power

Using the Porter forces of buyer power in the automobile industry, this paper evaluates the ability of Asian buyers to drive Honda automobile success . It examines key issues such as buyer power, threat of substitution, vulnerability to price, switching costs, and sustainability issues in Honda’s major buyer markets. The paper also looks at how empowered buyers are a competitive threat and the way that Honda can respond to this position and defend its competitive advantage through innovation, customer retention, and market segmentation.
